Lake Walk Presentation at Chautauqua Institution

A Photographer’s Appreciation of Water

Karen Glosser is a fine art nature photographer whose work has led her to memorable places around the world. However, her native Western New York State remains her primary love and focus as she explores and captures the moody waves of Lake Erie, the serenity found at Chautauqua Lake and the silent woodlands near her home. Glosser shares her love of water not only through her photography, but also by encouraging people to get close to water, to appreciate water and to become active participants in protecting our wild waters. Karen’s talk will focus on her personal insights on why water means so much to her and how she captures the mood and emotion the natural world in her photography. For those who wish to bring a camera and ask about water photography, Karen will field questions at the end of the presentation.
